Flexible new way to be the change you want to see in the world

Have you always been keen to join a service club or volunteer organisation, but your busy lifestyle has meant you’ve avoided the commitment? Or perhaps you’ve been an active volunteer before but now have other priorities in your life?

“Well, me too!” says Charter President Elect of what will very soon be the Sunshine Coast’s newest Rotary club – Sunshine Coast Passport Rotary.

Our members are focused on doing what they can, when they can. We enable and connect Rotarians with volunteer opportunities without asking them to commit to regular meetings and formalities.

Our members are encouraged to engage in service in ways that fit within their family, work and life commitments. We come from all walks of life and current members range in age from their 20s to their 60s.

Right now, we are focused on supporting existing local causes, as well as looking for innovative new ways to serve our community.

You may have recently met a few of our members at the Rotary Club of Alexandra Headland’s famous Surf, Show and Shine in Mooloolaba, raising awareness about mental health, RYDA road safety education sessions or helping people prepare for the workforce through various local initiatives.

We also share an interest in recycling initiatives – ways to increase sustainability in our own background – and bridging the digital divide between the generations – we want everyone to feel comfortable using technology in ways that enhance their wellbeing.
